Weigh In #2: Plus Size Bloggers Tracking Challenge: Bye Bye Booties! and Slimmer This Summer Check In

I did not have the greatest of weeks, but if you figure in that we had birthday cake and I had 8 cookies on Friday (some at VBS some at home) I guess I could have done worse.  I actually thought I was going to do better because 2 days while Tabitha was in VBS last week, I took Amelia and Hannah on a 1 hour walk around the town we were in.  Unlike our hometown which is flat all the way around, the other town had a few different places with inclines.  The one was quite steep, so I figured I was getting a great workout.  Unfortunately I forgot to record every day again (We come home from our walks and get the girls ready for bed, by the time I remember it is after midnight and you can't go back on the Wii to record in the Activity Log).  I like having it on the Wii, but I guess if I keep forgetting to record it I might just as well write it down before I forget.  Each day this week I at least took a walk around town in the evening, I don't believe we missed once, even on the days I took the hour long walk.  Though one day we only got to go to the bridge and back because of road work.  Here is what I did record.

I can't believe I am still looking at the 220 on the scale.  I did lose weight from last Monday, but it is the same as Wednesday.

Previous Monday Weight: 220.8
Weight on Wednesday: 220.2
Today's Weight: 220.2
Weight loss from last week: -.6
Weight change from Wednesday: 0

Total Loss since weight loss journey got serious on December 13th 2010: 41.7

  1. Unless the cookies and cake come in with your 1200 - 1400 calories plan for the day, then you got to nix the for the summer! Unless the cookies were tiny, the 8 cookies alone were probably more than 1400 calories, for sure over with the cake. Plan, track and stick with this! The cookies and cake JUST aren't worth it! Save them for when your at your goal weight, then you can enjoy them.

  2. It will come off, and that number will move again. Persistence, not perfection!

  3. Just keep a notepad close by and write things down. Then record when you can. I hate to see you lose credit for exercising!

Looks to me like you're doing fine. Just stay away from those evil cookies! LOL

  4. We have to take what comes and learn from it. My week wasn't great either - but a loss is a loss and a starting point and maybe a light for the fire under our big butts to move, move, move. Congrats on the loss, keep going!

  6. Bummer when the scale stalls! Just more motivation and expectation that unbelievable how can this be since I am dieting pounds will show up next time and prove it is just bloat from the heat and bloat causing ingredients (which I am researching this week so I can mark them as no eatties for my diet).

Stick with us be strong. StS baybee. Imagine Onederland in the year 'one one! You are so close.

  7. Just to clarify, I lost point 6 pounds this week, not 6. The scale will not save my current weight if I don't take my socks off for it to check my body fat and such. The 6.2 is from the beginning of the challenge.
I know I have to stop the snacking, it was hard this weekend with the birthday party and the VBS cookout (I didn't figure it would be hotdogs and all junk food, no veges or fruit at all)
    Here's to a better week.

  8. The important thing is that you stick with it. You will lose weight. You can do it, but hands out of the cookie jar!

  10. It's only small amounts but every little helps. I agree on the keeping a notepad with you idea, logging exercise is motivating, seeing it add up helps I think.
