I gained again. I hadn't thought I had done that badly. I know the pretzels right before bed are not great for me, but I have to have something and they work the best. Last week we also walked for an hour Sunday night. This week I haven't been able to get out and walk. My son no longer lives with us, he finally got his apartment. Unfortunately, this leaves us nobody to watch the children at night. When hubby is home we liked to walk around town after the children were in bed. Not as possible now. So, we'll see how I do next week. Here is my weight this week
Previous Monday Weight: 219.4
Today's Weight: 222.2
Weight change from last week: +2.8
Total Loss since weight loss journey got serious on December 13th 2010: 39.7
A slight gain this week ... it happens to all of us at one time or another. As long as we keep trying, our bodies will follow. :)
ReplyDeleteHubby feels the same way about pretzels. He says they help him control his snacking. Do you get the ones with or without salt? I've switched hubby to the salt-free ones; add some salsa and he enjoys them just the same.
Don't get discouraged, it's a new week. Maybe you could do something together before the kids go to bed? That way you're still moving and you spend family time together.
ReplyDeleteI have a cup of herbal hot tea before bed when I feel like I need a little something. It takes a while to consume it because, well - it's hot. It occupies your hands and your senses and is very soothing. Given this heat wave, I haven't done it in a while - but many nights I still do because it is a good habit!
ReplyDeleteThe pretzels work for me, too, but I take out a smidge (tsp) of peanut butter and dip them. I take out 6 pretzels and the PB and usually, not every time, it will tide me over. Most people believe pretzels are evil, but they are salt and crunch, and the PB is just a little fat, which is the combination I need.
ReplyDeleteDon't let the gains get you down. You are on a mission and need to keep everything moving forward. I hope you can find something to replace the walks, but I have no ideas for you, other than treadmill time (ugh!).
Almost three pounds just from pretzels? Maybe the salt is causing water retention. Are you writing everything down? I know if I am having problems with a particular food - out it goes. Try something like almonds, a hard boiled egg, a piece of string cheese. Eating at night is a tough habit to break. Miss April's tea suggestion would be good as well. There really are some good tasting herbal teas. You can make them sweet with stevia. Perhaps your husband could be persuaded to help you with this.
ReplyDeleteI still say it's twins :)
