Second Weigh In this Week

Okay, I figured I "gained" so much yesterday because I hadn't exercised before weighing in.  I ALWAYS weigh in after exercising.  So, today I decided to do a body test for the second time this week.  I have only been doing body tests once a week.  I used to do them every day, but the fluctuations were bothering me.  But...I had to know.
So here is my current weight info.

So not only did I go down from yesterday, I also lost weight from last week after all.

Yay! I got to give myself a star.

Wednesday Weigh In April 27, 2011

Well, I didn't get any pictures this week.  Could be because the scale went up not down.  I figured the lack of exercise and snacking would catch up to me.  I was really surprised I lost weight the last two weeks.  April has been a really bad month.  So many birthdays.  Plus our anniversary. Then we had a wedding to attend last weekend and Easter with its lovely candy.  Of course there were refreshments at church.  And now, this weekend, we have a baby shower to attend.  And we said we would make the cake!  What was I thinking?!?

Very depressing looking at the weight today.  I gained 2.5 pounds.  I do think I wouldn't have gained as much if I had exercised and then weighed in. But I just didn't have time, again.  I have had quite a few toss and turn nights, only to wake up too late to get any exercise in.  When I did exercise yesterday I started feeling queasy part way through.  Sort of a bummer to see I didn't make the 220 mark yet and I just drifted further away from it.

I can't wait til the next challenge over at the Sisterhood.  In case you are wondering it starts May 1st and they will be sharing details soon.  May 1st is also the start of my little challenge over here at Turn My Life Around.  I am going to be giving away a copy of the book Chicken Soup for the Soul: Shaping the New You.  This prize will go to the person with the biggest percentage of weight loss for the month of May.  All you need to do is sign up over at this post

Shaping Up Weight
Loss Challenge!

I am looking forward to this coming month.  I decided to offer my own little challenge here at Turn My Life Around.  Summer is on its way, the weather is warming up (finally!) and it is going to be easier to get outside.  I am looking forward to being able to walk daily again.  Both with the children for a stroll and without the children for some great cardio.  

I am giving away a copy of the book, Chicken Soup for the Soul: Shaping The New You.  I won a copy of this book and ended up with an additional copy.  If you are looking for some inspiring stories to encourage you on your weight loss journey you will love this book.  I have yet to finish it, but so far I have really enjoyed reading it.

Wednesday Weigh In April 21, 2011

Even though the Spring In2 Action Challenge is now at an end over at The Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans I still planned on posting my weight each week.  I am also still linking up with Weight Loss Wednesdays over at Confessions of a Snowflake.  Yes, I realize I am a day late.

I happened to check out the Sisterhood yesterday and saw they are still encouraging us to "check in" which I am glad to do.  And to my delight I found out they will be starting up a new challenge May 1st. Though there were no details yet.

As I wasn't sure if there would be any challenges going on anytime soon I had decided last week to offer my own challenge.  I have an extra copy of the book Chicken Soup for the Soul: Shaping the New You and I am going to be offering it as a prize for the biggest loser in this challenge.  Like the last Sisterhood challenge the winner will be the one who loses the biggest percentage of weight loss, just like the show, The Biggest Loser.  As I stated last week, if there is enough interest and there are enough people joined up I may be able to offer a second prize.  To sign up for this challenge just link up your main page of your blog into the linky below.

A little more exercise.  Actually, we also took two walks that were not recorded.  Our walks go all the way around our town, which is a mile around.


Today the Wii Fit results agree with my results. I lost 1.1 lb.



I have got to start finding time to exercise again.  I have not been getting in the 6 days a week, or the two times a day. And this month has been awful for sweet foods.  We have lots of birthdays, mine, Hannah's and Steven's.  And we had our anniversary. Then we made cupcakes for a bake sale and had frosting for making igloos for our letter I week. I was so surprised I lost weight again.  At least I have avoided eating after dinner.  Gotta get back to my goals I set at the beginning of the year!

Spring In2 Action Challenge: Week 6

Spring In2 Action

  Time for the final weigh in and check in with Spring In2 Action over a The Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans.

I was actually surprised by this week's results.  I had no time to exercise, okay, fine, I failed to make time.  I didn't get up early enough, was spending too much time online.  I actually (conveniently) forgot one of my important goals, if I am going to be on the computer I need to exercise for at least 30 minutes.  Oops. As you will see below, I didn't do well.

We also had Hannah's birthday this past week, which means birthday cake.  I was so proud of myself for refusing to eat the ice cream, and then I went and sneaked quite a bit of frosting (homemade buttercream, I might add).  And it was our anniversary so we went out to eat.  Needless to say, not my best week this year.  Probably my worst.

I think I will never make that water consumption and nibbling chart.

Anyhow, I actually lost weight again this week.  Unfortunately I didn't meet those intermediate goals I was aiming for.

Spring In2 Action Challenge: Week 5

Spring In2 Action

  Time to weigh in and check in with Spring In2 Action over a The Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans.

I didn't have a very good week this week.  I mentioned last week about the headaches that I thought might be related to the green tea.  I definitely seemed to be more sensitive to the caffeine this week, so I didn't drink as much green tea.  I found myself snacking a lot more and on junkier things than I have been.  I also didn't get as much exercise in.

Still have to make that water consumption and nibbling chart.  Should have had it for this past week, I may have done better.

Anyhow, I actually lost weight again this week.  Unfortunately it was only .5 so I am now doubting the ability to even make my Wii Fit goal.  Definitely not getting down to 220 by my birthday.

And I am noticing that by my math I lost .5, but according to the Wii fit board I lost .4.  I'll take my calculation. 

As I mentioned, not a lot of exercise this week.  I only used the Biggest Loser: The Workout DVD a couple of times.  That low intensity work out is quite intense for me.  It's the lunges and crunches that I find hard and wear me out.
